The final race of 2011 saw some new faces giving the familiar winners a run for their money. Justin Damarin squeaked by Tobin Hammock in OSC, Mike Allen took the top spot in 4WD electric, and Ryan Kane finished out the year on top of Nitro Buggy (although getting some stiff competition from Kyle Bosse).

Che Hatchett returned, batteries charged, to take 4WD Electric back from Elings. 


Tobin Hammock proved his Truggy mastery and lead the 2WD OSC class, also proving to be formidable in Nitro Buggy, taking 2nd. 


Ryan Kane returned like a burning nitro phoenix, and took the class by a 4 lap lead.

Tobin Hammock once again flexed his 2WD muscles to take the win. Jeff Elings managed to stay on the track long enough to take the win in 4WD electric in a ......... wait for it..........2WD Slash. The Nitro class combined 1/8 Buggy and Truggy as Oscar eviscerated the buggy competition and Brad D. took the first Truggy position.

An important aside about Turn Marshals: 

When you take position as a turn marshal, it's important to reset crashed or out-of-bounds RC vehicles in the proper direction on the track and in a TIMELY manner. You must provide your FULL attention to the track, because a minor misstep can change the outcome of the race very quickly. Please marshal other drivers' vehicles the way you would like your vehicle to be marshaled.

First race with the updated track layout!


Newcomer Michael had a strong showing in Nitro, which was taken by Spencer Wass who benefited from Oscar leaving the main early.  Justin DeLarge appeared from his self-appointed RC exile to hassle Tobin Hammock in OSC.

The camera car got some great footage of crashes, carnage, and a few rollovers which will find it's way to Youtube soon... if you look close, you may even see your truck, buggy or truggy getting 'Savaged'.

It was Tobin Hammock day at Elings Raceway as he demonstrated his dominance in multiple categories with a relatively thin field of racers. Apparently, Spencer and Jeff thawed some T4's from prehistoric ice to come out and play in OSC, but Tobin wiped them out like an asteroid crash. Justin Damarin did quite well in the Nitro heats, but he didn't survive to make it to the main.

RACE RESULTS 8/28/2011

Oscar Galaviz dominated in 2 classes (Nitro, 4x4) despite exiting Nitro early with a mechanical issue. Spencer Wass narrowly edged out Tobin Hammock and Clinton Bartee in the hackfest we call OSC, which is becoming a VERY competitive class lately.

RACE RESULTS 8/14/2011

Clinton Bartee took the win in 4x4 Electric after newcomer Oscar Galaviz had a strong showing, but bowed out with a mechanical.

Justin Damarin effortlessly skewered his opponents in Nitro, but Jerry Gerue turned in some impressive times for a truggy.

Spencer Wass destroyed OSC, monster-trucking his way over one-time electric monarch Tobin Hammock.
